Doing our bit… free post and packing

Here at the Lucy Winter stables we like to do our bit for our customers.  Times are tough out there and doesn’t the saying go, “watch the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves”?

We’ve been watching the pennies ourselves recently (haven’t we all?).  So we decided to pass on some of the savings to our lovely customers.  All UK orders are now eligible for free delivery. And we’ve reduced the price for Overseas and European delivery charges too.

We’ve even still got our massively reduced prices on many cross stitch kits too.

So now there’s no excuse… guilt free shopping!

Why I hate power surges…

Here at Lucy Winter we seem to live in an area prone to power surges.  Only the other day I was designing a cushion for a customer and had done about three-quarters, when the lights flickered for half a second, and every machine in the workshop turned itself off, and rebooted.  Including my computer… with the design on, unsaved!  You can imagine, the air was blue with my language.

Then, again this morning, I was updating the website product catalogue, reducing (yes, really) the prices on all our Cinnamon Cat Cross Stitch Charts only to have it happen again.

Serves us right for choosing to live in such a rural area.  Every cloud…

My first post!

This is my first attempt at blogging.  It’s difficult to know what to write, really.

But I suppose I should tell you a bit about Lucy Winter Needlecraft.

We’re an online retailer of fab and beautiful needlework kits, charts and accessories. We want to use our blog to tell you about interesting things we find in the stitching world, as well as exciting things that are happening on our website, and maybe even a little educational stuff.  Just a little, though.  But you can always ask us if there’s something you’d like to find out about needlecraft.  We’ll do what we can to help.
